WoW WotLK

With the launch of the Lich King expansion, WoW fans are looking for guides and resources which would help to expedite their leveling process to level cap. Already there are both class specific and strategy guides around for the WoW Death Knight class and content focus on the expansion itself. Several weeks before the release, the game guide publisher, Killer Guides featured a free WoW Death Knight handbook. Many WoW players have already begin to pre-oder their complete WoW Death Knight e-book and WoW WotLK guide.
With Killer Guides’ acknowledgment, we have provided below a short excerpt of the WoW WotLK guide that is offered at their online shop.
Basics
While the true basics of the expansion can be found on the back of the box, it doesn’t hurt to give some further details on the new stuff.
New Features
As expansions are expected to, WotLK added some new features to WoW. New zones to explore and levels to gain are a given, but just as with Burning Crusade, this expansion brings some changes to other aspects of the game as well.
Death Knight
First and foremost is the introduction of the Death Knight class. A melee class with dps and tanking capabilities, with a knack for disease and undead minions. Check out the Death Knight chapter for further info.
Progression based Areas
Quests that, when you complete them, have an actual impact on the game world. You can first encounter this in the Death Knight zone, where the city you do your quests in slowly transforms into a scourged wasteland. A type of instances are used for this, you are present in the zone matching your progression through the quest chain. This means that what you see outside is linked to where you are in the story, and not related to the actions of other players. The downside of all this is that you cannot interact with other players who are on a different stage of the questline. All in all, its pretty awesome to see the world changing around you. Beside the Death Knight area, you can find such quest chains at the Wrathgate in Dragonblight and in Icecrown.
Raids
All raid zones in Northrend can be played with 10 or 25 man, your choice. The 10 and 25 man versions of a raid zone have separate loot tables and instance id’s (meaning you can be saved to a 10-man Naxxramas and hop right into a 25-man Nax raid anyway).Where Burning Crusade came with Karazhan as a startup raid zone for 10 man groups and a very steep jump up to Zul’Aman much later on, WotLK allows for a much more gradual raiding progression. Small guilds should be able to more easily advance and actually make the jump from Naxxramas to the next raid zone, instead of sticking around in the Karazhan equivalent until the end of times.
Also worth noting is that raids have no attunements, you can enter all WotLK raid zones freely when you’ve reached level 80.
Killer Guides have been in the game guide market for a long time. Their guides are known to be continually updated and in line with game changes. For a one time purchase, their customers get live guides with updated information as the game progresses. Already, their portfolio of WoW guides are being worked on to address the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
